A 44-lb (20-kg) dog develops ventricular tachycardia after a splenectomy and requires an IV constant rate infusion (CRI) of lidocaine. The CRI dosage of lidocaine is 50 mcg/kg/min.

Add how many milligrams of 2% lidocaine to a 1-liter bag of lactated Ringer’s solution (LRS) administered as a CRI at a rate of 45 ml/h? (Note: you need to remove the same volume of LRS from the bag first to match the volume of lidocaine you add so the total volume in the bag remains 1000 ml.)
