You can also access free practice questions in the Zuku Review's Question of the day Archive

2. Online courses
The Veterinary Support Personnel Network (VSPN) offers an excellent VTNE review online.

April 20-June 15: A live, online class, + notes and a forum.
Comprehensive, and very well done. Useful if you like structure to help stay on track.

VetMedTeam, offers a VTNE prep course also.
We have not heard feedback on it yet. Got an opinion?

3. Websites

  • The Merck manual your best vet encyclopedia

  • Basic surgery and instrumentation from Univ. Penn

  • The Bandage Book: bandaging guide (and anatomy)

  • The Clinical Pathology Image Library: good examples of common blood, urine and parasitic findings.

  • Dr. Banga's Vet Video Library:Procedures and surgeries
(Not to mention "10 Signs You Went to a Bad Vet" from David Letterman).

  • These are good if you want case studies/images, but more complicated than you need for VTNE

  • Kansas State's Radiology case studies

  • University of Montreal's Clinical pathology case studies

  • ACVS case studies for Small animal surgery

  • ACVS case studies for Food animal surgery

    Buyer Beware:
A company called Morrison Media, LLC is selling a "VTNE Secrets Study Guide" for $49.95
It is unclear from the website whether this company has any veterinary background whatsoever.

It appears what they really do is market their "Study Secrets" for all kinds of tests.

Consumer Webwatch, did a survey of 10 SAT test prep products, including Morrison's "SAT Secrets" guide.

    Here is what they found
    (p. 25, Consumer Webwatch SAT Prep report)

'Our two testers dropped out of this $49.95 service, as it actually was more of an elaborate order form for a 145-page book previously published by Morrison Media to "teach the test." '

    Nuff ' said.
